No Time For Fun – USA Tour PT01

In the summer of 2016, we tore through the United States at breakneck speed. From Chicago, to San Diego, and back again in just a few days, walls were sprayed, Lak cans were emptied, blackbooks were sketched in, and sleep was lost. With such a hectic schedule, there was no time for beers, no time for loosing passports, no time for dope Cuban sandwiches, no time for juice, no time for tamales, no time for disco beats, and certainly no time for fun. Ewok, Kems, Mast, and Vizie came along for the ride. Pose, Trav, Omens, Persue, Brisk, Deow, and Zoueh joined us at points along the way as we bounced like a pinball through Chicago, Los Angeles, Westminster, and San Diego (plus a little ‘accidental’ side step into Tijuana). That was just the first half of the trip.

Pose – Bold Notion, Core Club

Bold Notion is a study in transformation. Conceived as a series, Bold Notion embraces and embodies the dynamic nature of CORE:—our space, our community, and our culture—and the artists who inspire us. Modern, playful, and inventive, Bold Notion redefines the club experience. Chicago based contemporary artist Pose has spent most his life painting graffiti and working as a billboard and sign painter. His work draws heavily on graphic communication. Pulling from these quick, loud and visceral worlds he re-contextualizes and obscures the familiar. Like an unfinished puzzle, his work invites viewers to pick up the pieces and get involved. Through bits of street signage and nostalgic slices of Americana, the aim is always to engage and express the complexities of the human condition. More about this here
