Name: Snekzy
Crew: MOW / RNG
City/Country: Moscow, Russia
When did you start writing? End of 1999

Who do you paint for? I like to create things, paint, making pictures. it’s a hobby, helps me to live and have big fun with my friends.

Tell us about your city, how is life and graffiti there? A lot of beautiful woman, a lot of money. Crazy buff, a lot of writers.

What first made you interested in graffiti and how did you end up on that track? In 1999 i met two talented writers Sindik and Brow and joined a crew with them.

What do you think about the new generation of writers in your city? Fighting and violence go really hard from some younger writers. It’s too much what you guys doing.

What do you do when you’re not painting? Normal life – I like nature, traveling, go party with my friends.

How would you describe your style? Haha careless, funky, fast to read.

Can you remember the first piece you did? I did “Power” piece on a brick wall of my house daytime 1999.

Future plans? Work a lot, travel to new places, grow in my art.

Do you adapt your pieces and tags to the spot/surface? Yes, I do. I’m trying not to damage a spot, but make it more beautiful with my piece.

What are the best and worst aspects of graffiti? I had a lot of friends coming to visit me in Moscow. I visit them in their countries. We come and see this city from inside, what normal people can not see. Thats brilliant! Worst is chemical smell – spray paint damages health seriously, I try to use a respirator every time i paint anywhere.

Influences? A lot of Russian old-schoolers – Worm, Mark, Basket., Spp, Namer, Dery, CTA, Poze.People I met in 2003-2005 in Moscow or in my first travels inspired me a lot, the way they life graffiti was really new to me. Mr. Maks, How & Nosm, Egs, Kaos, Fame Crew, Risk. I met so much talented and heavy writers in last 10 years, so inspiration does not stop

Can you ever feel tired of graffiti? Never, i switch names, styles, do graphic designs, make photos. I am really inspired by graffiti. Hey! Thats it =)

What do you hope people will think and feel when they see your stuff? Hope they smile and remember my smile too!
