Esteemed English photographer Will Robson-Scott has long documented the uncanny styles of Parisian graffiti writer Horfe. As their relationship has developed, so too has their individual artistic pursuits. With a penchant for graffiti that borders on the fantastical, the PAL Crew’s stylistic absurdity is only rivaled by their ubiquity in the European landscape. The two friends have maintained contact over the years, and were recently reunited in New York City when Peace and Love’s Horfe, Gorey, Cony, Tomek, Esso, Saeyo, Mosa and Skub made a trip stateside. Far away from their first auspicious meeting in the city of lights, Robson-Scott shot and spoke with Horfe and the rests of his pals. Read the whole interview over here

Looking forward to this show!
Klug Haus is putting on a great pop-up exhibition with Gorey, Horfe, Cony, Tomek, Saeyo, Mosa, Esso & Skub next weekend! One of the most prominent graffiti crews in Paris, PAL is united by its members’ shared love of creative expression. With GOREY as a forefather, PAL has developed a unique movement and style of graffiti that is completely its own. While there is a complicated, yet fascinating line between graffiti and fine art, the collective has made a seamless transition into the art world in a tasteful way that does not categorize the work as simply “graffiti,” yet sustains the collective’s distinct styles and energy within a gallery setting. The PALINGENESIS exhibition will showcase the collective’s debut in the United States as well as its artistic re-birth as evolving fine artists. Gorey & PAL’s incorporation of fine art elements into their work on the streets is pushing the concept of graffiti in a new and refreshing direction and we are thrilled to collaborate on their stateside debut.

Opening Reception: Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 6-10pm Pop-up Location: 154 Stanton St. (@ Suffolk St.) New York, NY 10002
