Hello My Name Is: Swet

Swet_HMNI_Insta-PUFF

Name: Swet
Crew: The Fatboys – TheWildSide – YO!
City/Country: Denmark
When did you start writing? 1985

What’s graffiti for you? Happiness and freedom.
Influences? My friends.. all the craziness around me and i guess all the graffiti i consume every day will also influence me in a way.
Tell us about your city, how is life and graffiti there? I live in a super small town. life is super chill because I’m the only writer in this small village. i have a lot of abandon factories here and so much space to enjoy myself.
What keeps you still writing? I wanna do more and better pieces… i have bin writing for more than 30 years now and it just gets more and more fun.
What first made you interested in graffiti and how did you end up on that track? Beat Street – Wild Style – Style Wars.
What trends are you seeing now in the graffiti world that you don’t like? Trends change all the time… what is a hot sausage today is flushed out tomorrow.
How would you describe your style? Swing and flow… with a lot of boogie and humor.
Can you remember the first piece you did? Yes… racked a couple of cans in a hardware store and did the piece in a under-path on my way home. it had a big cloud around the piece with a arrow lightning coming out. :))
Future plans? Have fun and paint more Do you adapt your pieces to the spot/surface? Yes… the spot and the surface is super important… i chase virgin walls and i love to paint fresh looking spots. it is a challenge to do it right the first time… just paint without corrections and cut backs.
What do you do when you’re not painting? i hang with my son and do all kind crazy stuff with him.
What do you think about the new generation of writers in your city? Whatever city or country i think all generations are cool. if they are painting, active and bring positive energy
What are the best and worst aspects of graffiti? the best is to see the spirit and obsession with graffiti in peoples eyes… and the worst must be… going home before all cans are empty. :)))
Who do you paint for? Just myself…
What writers have inspired you? Dare was and still is a good inspiration in so many ways. my friends… Cmp, SubsWitsoAtomeKrellDream Toast just to name a few.
Can you ever feel tired of graffiti? some time ago i did 12 pieces in a day and i was a bit tired driving the 2 hours home.
What do you hope people will think and feel when they see your stuff? i hope they smile and see how much fun i am having.
